Roses Roses everywhere
While Dave slaves away on the wine cellar, Carol has been enjoying her garden. The first blooming of roses is my favorite time of year.
Wine cellar progress and more
Stain door and convince same friend to come help you lift and hang the very heavy door. Please note the light shining inside the cellar so you might see the beautiful etched bunch of grapes. Now note there is not a door knob on the CLOSED door. Now go upstairs and admit to the stud builder what you did. He can fix anythng.
Install around the lovely curved wall corner a floor to ceiling window. Note my artistic photography looking thru the window to see the door and etching. This will be the view as I sit outside the cellar sipping my wine.
Just keep remembering this is what you are working to replace. One day. Sooon.

Wine Cellar on its way
HOW TO BUILD A WINE CELLAR
1. Make more wine than fits in your refrigerator.
2. Have on hand a perfectly good unused basement
3. Get a laser leveler/pointer from family for Christmas
Note in far background 1955 Jukebox and large red curved objects.
These are cleverly to be included in a wine cellar motif.
4. put up some studs ( not the kind I had in mind),
then plastic impervious liner and then big thick insulation
For the technically inclined the insulation is rigid foam
with a rating of 23.5 to 24. ( I don't know 23 what)
Then drywall then electricity oh my oh my
Picture is from entrance to basement
looking toward front of house.
Note the jukebox, and large Dupar's booth
have been moved and are in the general area
where any time now I will relax and drink my wine.
Step 5
A few more things to be done and more pictures as they occur.
